In my 20’s, after studying Chemistry and working in the Science Industry for a number of years, I left New Zealand to travel around the world. I spent eight years visiting great art galleries, museums, churches and ruins, soaking up history, art and culture.
In 1992 I started exploring my creativity by taking courses in pottery with Margaret Sumich, Rick Rudd and Philip Luxton.
I gained knowledge in concrete sculpting with Pardo Jackson and made many large concrete sculptures mostly featuring flowing water.
I have studied at Hungry Creek Art School part time for 3 years, Elim Summer School, Mairangi Arts Centre and won many awards for my work.
